Hi! I'm Gill and my husband Neil and I are the proud owners of

Mill Farm...As you can see in the photo we also have a spaniel...She's called Bailey.

We haven't always lived in Devon and we actually spent most of our lives in Sussex, but we'd always hankered for a more rural life.

Then, following some health issues, we made the decision that it was now or never and in January 2020 we made our long awaited move to the Southwest…Our Devon adventures had begun!

We couldn’t believe our luck when we found Mill Farm, the lake and grounds were stunning, although needing attention…And the holiday accommodation was crying out for modernisation.

We had an awful lot of hard work ahead of us and we were hoping friends and family would be happy to help out...But unfortunately, our timing couldn't have been worse as by March Covid had hit and we were in Lockdown. This meant that not only could we not have visitors but we also had difficulties getting materials and equipment too...Hence why I'm sanding an entire floor with a tiny hand-held sander!

The next few months were stressful in so many ways. Like everyone else we were worried about the health of our friends and family and we we very concerned about the financial implications for our new business. How were we going to make an income if we couldn't let out our holiday properties?

Thankfully, we eventually got the news that we were allowed to welcome guests from July 2020 and although we were utterly exhausted, everything was ready just in time...We were literally finishing off the fencing hours before our first guests arrived!

Looking back, we’re incredibly proud of all we have achieved and we have a completely new life to the one we had in Sussex. We enjoy sharing all that Mill Farm has to offer with our guests and we love hearing about how much they’ve enjoyed their stays with us. We also get to live in the most stunning surroundings and we spend lots of time at the beach now too.

We have met so many lovely people over the years and it's very satisfying when guests tell us how totally relaxed they feel at Mill Farm and when they book to return it’s the best compliment we could hope for!
